Broncos Head Coach To Make Debut Despite Battling Kidney Stones
Broncos coach Vic Fangio was taken to the hospital this afternoon, but will be back to coach tonight's game, the team said.
DENVER, CO β Denver Broncos' coach Vic Fangio is battling kidney stones and was hospitalized Thursday, however he still plans to make his head coaching debut tonight, said Patrick Smyth, the team's VP of public relations. The Broncos are taking on the Falcons tonight in a game at Hall-Of-Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
Fangio was taken to the hospital by a team physician Thursday afternoon, Smyth said.
Tonight marks Fangio's first time as head coach and apparently nothing is holding him back. The kidney stones haven't passed yet, according to ESPN.
