- 2022 Denver election results show sidewalk measure is too close to call, but it looks like the library district plan will pass. Meanwhile Gov. Jared Polis handily beat Heidi Ganahl and Sen. Michael Bennet's victory will return him to the U.S. Senate. Nationally, the picture is less clear. (Denverite)
- Marijuana dispensary has its eye on Bonnie Brae neighborhood. The City of Denver has recommended to approve a retail marijuana vendor, Silver Stem, in Bonnie Brae. - Pediatric respiratory infections on the rise in Colorado. Public health departments across the state are suggesting that families take extra precautions with their children because of a significant rise in RSV hospitalizations across the Denver metro area. RSV is a common respiratory virus that can cause mild, cold-like symptoms and is the leading cause of bronchiolitis. (CO Hometown)
- Colorado's gig workers aren't making enough money to survive. The study shows that the average gig driver in the metro Denver area makes around $5.49 per hour. Paired with increased gas prices and a 50 percent increase in rents over the past year, some drivers are having to work 18 hours a day to get by. (Guardian)
- Grant of $2 million to the University of Colorado aimed at preventing gun violence in Colorado schools. Shootings at U.S. schools have already hit record highs in 2022, and other types of violence continues to boil over at schools as well.
