Denver Immigration Arrests: ICE Caught On Video Making Courthouse Busts
Denver officials had asked them not to do that.

It hasn't even been one month since Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and more than one dozen other officials wrote to local officials of Immigration and Customs Enforcement asking them to respect local government buildings such a city hall, schools, and courthouses and not make arrests there.
"This is a simple request for immigration officials to enforce federal laws while respecting sensitive areas so our residents can go about their daily lives," Hancock said last month.
"People must feel safe to work with the city and our officers, which is why we are focused on enacting policies and practices that protect people’s safety and their rights while helping federal authorities to focus on removing dangerous and violent felons from our streets."

On Tuesday, the Meyer Law firm, which represented several undocumented immigrants, posted videos to YouTube showing that ICE isn't heeding the city's request.

Hans Meyer said the videos show ICE taking actions that lead to an environment of fear and drive people away from trusting government.
