Denver New Year's Eve Fireworks: Schedule, Transit Closures

DENVER, CO — The sky over downtown Denver will be alight with fireworks on New Year's Eve, and live DJs will be playing music along the 16th Street Mall. The city will close out 2019 with two identical fireworks shows.

The first show will be held at 9 p.m. and the second show will begin at midnight, according to the event's Facebook page. The DJs will play tunes from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The fireworks shows can be viewed from anywhere along the 16th Street Mall.

Attendees are encouraged to avoid taking vehicles downtown. RTD is teaming up with Coors Light to offer free rides on all bus and train service on New Year's Eve.

You can hop on any bus or train for free beginning at 7 p.m. on Tuesday through the end of the service day on Wednesday.

Between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m., RTD Light Rail trains will not cross the 16th Street Mall, and MallRide shuttles will stop temporarily during the two fireworks shows. Trains will stop at the Convention Center. Service to California St and Stout St will resume after crowds clear.
