Denver Ranked #2 City in the U.S. for Outdoor Activities
Don't forget to get outside every once in a while during social distancing. Yes, it's OK to go outside.

With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the nation, so much is in question. Most states are encouraging their residents to enact some form of social distancing, and many cities have shut down their restaurants, bars, and other businesses. As we’re living in the first days of spring In a time where most of us are staying indoors, just where do the outdoors fit in?
Earlier this week, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis announced a week-long ban on all downhill skiing operations. While that may seem like a drastic measure for our state, it is actually safe to go outside, according to many professionals and the most recent coronavirus developments. According to the New York Times reporting on the San Francisco County health department’s order, “people may leave their homes to engage in outdoor activity, provided the individuals comply with social distancing requirements as defined in this section, such as, by way of example and without limitation, walking, hiking, or running.” That means, as long as you’re staying six feet away from the people you interact with, it’s safe (and healthy!) to spend some time in nature.
During times of social distancing and overall crisis, it’s incredibly important to take care of both your mental and physical health. Spending time exercising outdoors can help improve both.
The good news is there are plenty of other options here in Denver. Recently, Denver was ranked the #2 city in the United States for outdoor activities –including access to hiking, rock climbing, water activities, campings, parks, and (sadly) ski resorts.
