- Metro Denver is considered one of the best places to thrifting in the U.S. Metro Denver tops the list for best places to find great stuff at thrift stores, according to Storage Cafe. The group's survey gave high marks to the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood area, in part, for the quantity of thrift stores in relation to the area's population. (CBS4)
- More copper wiring thefts from RTD. The most recent theft happened Wednesday morning along the W Line between Lakewood and Golden. RTD was forced to shut down the rail line because thieves had stolen copper wiring from the tracks. This has happened 17 times over the past few months, and has cost thousands of dollars to repair. - Denver plans to spend record amount on police, fire and jails in 2023. The City of Denver is proposing to spend more than one-third of its $1.6 billion budget on police, fire and jail services next year. (Police 1)
- Historic Sand Creek Massacre site to be expanded. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland visited the National Park Service historical site on Wednesday where she announced that the site would be expanded by an additional 3,478 acres. (CO Sun)
