  1. Denver City Council will vote on another settlement stemming from the 2020 George Floyd protests. On Monday, Jan. 9, city council will decide whether or not to pay $325,000 to settle another lawsuit over Denver Police's handling of the 2020 protests. (9News)
  2. Arvada will extend micro-mobility pilot program through 2023. The City of Arvada announced that it will keep shareable e-scooters around as the city's team continues to gather data. (Arvada Press)
  3. City of Denver struggling to provide timely trash service. Denver residents are fed up with the changes and delays as trash is piling up across the city. Dumpsters and trash cans are overflowing. According to the City of Denver, it's a problem caused by cold weather and staffing shortages. (KDVR)
  4. Gas prices have gone up across the state over the past week. Cold weather across much of the U.S. over the past two weeks has forced refineries to slow operations and has sent prices at the pump slightly higher. A gallon of gas was $3.29 on average this week, up from the previous week's average of $3.18 per gallon last week. (FOX31)
