Denver Triple Shooting: 18-Year-Old Charged

Angel Gallegos appeared in court Thursday in connection with the shooting which killed 2 men and injured a third in Villa Park.

DENVER, CO – An 18-year-old man appeared in court Thursday in connection with the May 30 Denver triple shooting that killed two men and critically injured a third in Denver's Villa Park neighborhood.

The Denver District Attorney's Office charged Angel Gallegos Tuesday with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault as a violent crime. Gallegos appeared in District Court Thursday morning for advisement.

The arrest affidavit is sealed, but the men killed were identified as 16-year-old Anthony Martinez and 25-year-old Raymond Flores. The wounded man was not identified. The shooting took place around 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Perry Street. At the time, police announced they were searching for two suspects in connection with the incident, although Gallegos was the only arrest made.

Police declined to release a booking photo of Gallegos, saying it would interfere with the investigation.
