Here are the top stories today in Denver:

  1. DocWest Film Festival is making a triumphant comeback. The founder of Denver's DocWest, Wade Gardner, hopes the return of the documentary festival will help Denver become the documentary film headquarters of the world. (Westword)
  2. Outdoor Retailer Expo heading back to Utah. After a five year stint at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, the OR show is packing its bags and heading back to Salt Lake City – despite protests from the industry's largest outdoor companies. (CPR)
  3. Long-planned building moving forward near Coors Field. Denver City Council recently approved a rezoning application at 2000 Blake Street, that will allow for an eight-story building. As proposed, the new building will include two floors of commercial and up to six floors of residential. (Denverite)
  4. Denver Broncos collected 189 Guns at a buyback event. During the event last Saturday at Empower Field, attendees were also able to see how a gun is turned into a garden tool and hear community voices share how their lives have been impacted by gun violence. (CBS4)
  5. Investor suing over CBD product that never materialized. A Denver-based company had invented a new formulation of chewing gum that combined whitening, cooling, and fighting both gingivitis and plaques, but the product never made it to market. (6Park News)
