- New study shows a lot of e-scooter riders are getting seriously hurt. More than 2,500 riders have arrived at Denver Health's Emergency Department after crashing on a scooter. Injuries include everything from broken bones, fractured skulls and brain injuries, which are now considered to be a "common occurrence," from e-scooter crashes. (CO Sun)
- Meat processing plant workers' union votes to strike. The union that represents workers at a Denver meat processing plant owned by Greeley-based JBS, has announced that workers have voted to strike. Negotiations appear to have broken down with the company and the union around what workers say are unfair labor practices at the Denver Processing meat plant. (Patch)
- Arriving migrants are already searching for work. With hundreds of migrants arriving over the past month in Denver, there's no surprise that they're already looking for work. Many of them have come from Venezuela and have arrived in the U.S. without work permits or protected immigration status. (CBS4)
- National Western Center getting ready to move forward with next round of construction. It's almost that time of year for the stock show to come to town, and the National Western Center will be breaking ground on their next building in Elyra-Swansea on the day before the 117 National Western Stock Show begins on Jan. 7. - Edgewater Echo launches a paper edition. In hopes of expanding the reach in the community, the Edgewater Echo has launched a weekly paper edition which will be available at local businesses and community gathering places on Friday mornings. (Edgewater Echo)
