Entrepreneur, social media influencer and New York Times best-selling author Tim Ferriss has weighed into the question of whether Colorado voters should have the opportunity to choose to restore wolves to western Colorado. During a wide-ranging podcast interview with biologist Mike Phillips, the topic turned from grizzly bears and wolf biology to the need for wolves to once again roam the hunting grounds of their ancestors in western Colorado.

Known for his meticulous interview style, Ferriss, an Angel Investor who once raised $250,000 in under an hour to invest in Shyp by forming a syndicate on AngelList, delved deep into the career of Phillips, who has worked for Ted Turner for over two decades. Ultimately, the conversation turned to Philips' long-time focus on restoring wolves to the hunting grounds of their ancestors in Southern Colorado, a project Phillips claims will finally reconnect wolf populations from the high Arctic, all the way south to Mexico.

By the end of the interview with Phillips, who was one of two lead biologists for the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone National Park, Ferriss was so impressed with the project to restore wolves to Colorado that he threw down a $100,000 matching challenge to his listeners. Summing up, Ferriss said that he picks his shots very, very carefully, referring to the Colorado wolf restoration initiative as an "Archimedes Lever."
