Here are the top stories in Denver today:

  1. Burrito Giant puts a wrap on its business, and lists the building for sale. This is some tragic news, one of my go to northside breakfast burrito places has closed up shop. The owners of the long time Mexican take out restaurant near 38th and Tennyson described running the business after the pandemic was making them "tired." You'll be missed Burrito Giant! (Westword)
  2. How much snow will Denver get this month? Typically, Denver has received 12.5 inches of snow by this time, but only 10.9 inches of snow has fallen. On average, Denver sees eight inches of snowfall in December. (FOX31)
  3. EPA gives Denver Water green light to replace lead pipes. The Environmental Protection Agency has approved a $700 million plan to remove lead water pipes in Denver. Lead water pipes are a major source of lead poisoning. (Local Today)
  4. Namaste Solar donating solar subscriptions to 400 families. Namaste Solar is donating community solar subscriptions to 400 low-income families as part of the $100,000 raised by the Keep the Lights on Colorado community giving campaign. (EIN News)
  5. Frozen Dead Guy Days shake up. After not being able to come to terms with the town of Nederland to continue the 20 year celebration of a dead guy in a tuff shed, it looked like Frozen Dead Guy Days was DOA for 2023. As luck would have it, the event organizers struck a deal with Estes Park and it will be reborn on St. Patrick's weekend – in partnership with the legendary Stanley Hotel. (CBS4)
