Fatal Shooting In Dispute Between Employer And Ex-Employee: Aurora PD

AURORA, CO – 35-year-old Lloyd Clifford Love of Aurora was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder Thursday night following a fatal shooting in the Centretech neighborhood, according to police.

Officers initially responded to a trespassing call at 7 p.m., which was upgraded to a shooting report while authorities were on the way to the scene, police said.

Upon arrival, authorities learned that the shooting stemmed from a dispute between an employer and former employee, according to police. The victim died on the scene.

More officers were called to the scene to search for the suspect, who according to police, fled the scene before the first officials arrived. Police said that officers and SWAT found a car, conducted a traffic stop, and arrested the suspect after confirming he was a passenger in the car.

Anyone with information about the case is being urged to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720.913.STOP (7867). Police added that tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 and may remain anonymous.
