Fertility Doctor Accused Of Using Own Sperm To Impregnate Women
A lawsuit claims a Colorado fertility doctor is the father of children he helped to conceive, according to a report.
GRAND JUNCTION, CO — A family has filed a lawsuit against a Colorado fertility doctor who's accused of using his own sperm to inseminate women, according to a report. More than half a dozen people conceived between the 1970s and 1990s now believe the doctor is their biological father.
Maia Emmons-Boring, 39, told 9News than an Ancestry.com DNA test revealed she had half-siblings who, like herself, had parents who sought fertility help from Dr. Paul Jones in Grand Junction.
Emmons-Boring, who now lives in Texas, said Jones was supposed to use sperm from an anonymous donor, but used his own sperm to impregnate her mother twice, 9News reported. The two sisters now believe they could have at least five half-siblings whom they've never met.

Patch reached out to Jones for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Now in his 80s, Jones has had his license to practice medicine renewed, records show. Several medical websites indicate he's a highly-reviewed doctor, and Colorado state records show he hasn't faced any disciplinary actions.
