Free Diabetes Health Classes In Denver

A free CDC program for taking charge of type 2 diabetes will take place weekly in Denver's University Park neighborhood.

DENVER, CO -- Make Wednesday your diabetes health day in Denver with an after-work free diabetes prevention program starting Feb. 21. The National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), utilizes lifestyle change intervention to reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes. Classes are provided through a donation from Kaiser Permanente Colorado.
The free class meets for 16 weekly sessions followed by six monthly sessions from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Natural Grocers, 2053 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80222. If you have pre-diabetes or other risk factors for type 2 diabetes, it’s time to take charge of your health.
