Health Care Protests: Arrests At Sen. Gardner's Office Broadcast On Facebook Live

Ten protesters — many of whom are people with disabilities — were arrested after a two day sit-in at the Denver office of Sen. Cory Gardner. The protesters are opposed to the Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. The advocates, who dubbed their protest "Camp Gardner" and broadcast much of it on Facebook Live, can be heard chanting, "We'd rather go to jail than die without Medicaid."

On Thursday evening, the Denver Police Department sent officers after receiving a complaint from someone in the senator's office. Many of the protesters are from ADAPT/Atlantis Community, a group based in Denver that advocates for accessibility for people with disabilities.
