High Wind Watch Issued For East Metro Denver
Wind could gust up to 65 mph Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service has issued high wind watch for Denver's eastern metro area and other Front Range regions. The wind watch will be in effect from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday.
Northwest wind is expected to gust between 30 and 40 mph, but some gusts could reach up to 65 mph, weather officials said.
"Strong winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," the weather alert reads. "Travel will be difficult for high profile vehicles."

The wind watch was issued to Denver, Aurora, Brighton, Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Castle Rock, Parker and more than a dozen other cities.

A separate high wind warning, which begins Friday night, was issued to Boulder and Jefferson counties.
