Home-Invader Got Doughnuts With Stolen Credit Cards: Denver Cops

A female burglar allegedly surprised a woman in her home, grabbed a wallet and fled, Denver police said.

DENVER, CO – A woman who allegedly broke into a Denver home, surprised the resident, then grabbed a wallet and fled later used the stolen credit cards to buy doughnuts, Denver police said.

Denver police and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the unknown woman.

Authorities said around 3:45 a.m. June 13, she allegedly entered a detached garage of a home in the 2100 block of Grant Street, then located a key to the home and let herself in. The resident in the house was home and "scared the suspect away," police said, snatching a wallet as she fled.

Later on Wednesday, police said the woman used stolen credit cards to purchase doughnuts in a shop.

Police released a photo of a woman wearing a pink top with long hair. No further information was released about the wanted woman.
