Regional Hyperloop: CDOT Announces Partnership With Arrivo
The Colorado Dept. of Transportation will announce a private-public partnership to develop a prototype electromagnetic superhighway.

DENVER, CO -- The first segment of a Hyperloop-style "test track" for an enclosed, electromagnetic superhighway will be built somewhere in the near Denver region, according to a press statement released Monday from the Colorado Dept. of Transportation.
CDOT and hyperloop infrastructure company Arrivo will announce Tuesday the details of a private-public partnership to build the first segment of a potential networked “Arrivo” system. Arrivo is a competitor of Elon Musk's Hyperloop One, with a slightly different focus. The Arrivo company was founded by ousted Hyperloop One co-founder Brogan BamBrogan.

The The Rocky Mountain Hyperloop Team said their goal is to "connect the cities along the Front Range from Cheyenne to Pueblo with commute times between any cities clocking in at under 30 minutes." Proposed travel times were:
- Denver to Greeley: 6 min
- Denver to Fort Collins: 9 min
- Denver to Vail: 9 min
- Denver to Colorado Springs: 9 min
- Colorado Springs to Pueblo: 6 min
Arrivo's model uses a similar electromagnetic propulsion system in a vacuum, but is focused on local distances. More details will be released Tuesday.
