- CDOT's new $1.7B Central I-70 project wasn't supposed to flood. It flooded. Dozens of motorists were stranded on Sunday when the underground section of I-70 filled with stormwaters between Brighton Boulevard and York Street. (Denverite)
- Blue-green algae found in Garfield Lake. A dangerous algae bloom has been detected in a lake in the Mar Lee neighborhood near West Mississippi Avenue. Warm temperatures creates the conditions that can lead to the growth of these toxic blooms. (FOX31)

- Colorado's snowpack has microplastics in it. A retired Geological Survey researcher has discovered that much of Colorado's high country snowpack has been polluted with microplastics, which is a layer of human-made plastic fibers mixed in with the snow. (CPR)
