- Democrats claim that "Big Oil" has stymied climate action. New claims state that oil and gas PR firms have pushed the limits of ethical responsibility and caused major slowdowns to federal climate change policy. (Patch)
- Bullet hits car's windshield on I-25. A man and his daughter were driving on I-25 near Empower Field going southbound, when his car was hit by a stray bullet on Tuesday night. (FOX31)
- Gov. Jared Polis threatens to sue the EPA over gasoline mandate. Denver's bad air quality has been moved to the "severe" category by the EPA, and that classification triggers a requirement that drivers must buy more expensive gas with more additives in it to reduce ground-level pollution. Polis said he'll sue the EPA to stop the requirement. (Gazette)
- Colorado's halfway houses are "a revolving door to prison." Colorado's halfway houses were set up to reduce recidivism, but an explosive report has insiders claiming that the system is plagued with problems and is sending many back to prison. (ProPublica)
- Saving Sloan's Lake becomes a little more fun with Jammin' On The Jetty this weekend. As part Sloan's Lake Park Foundation's effort to save the lake, they're hosting a concert today, Saturday, Sept. 17 as part of an awareness campaign about the perilous situation the lake is in. (Denverite)
