Must-Know Dates As Denver Public Schools Start

Here are all the important dates families need to know about for the coming school year.

DENVER, CO — The first bell on the 2019-2020 school year is about to ring and that means parents need to get their calendars in order. To help out, we've compiled a listing of important dates in the coming year:

  • First day of school: Aug. 19
  • Labor Day Holiday (no school): Sept. 2
  • Family conference day (no school): Oct. 18
  • Non-student contact days (no school): Oct. 21, 22
  • Thanksgiving (no school): Nov. 25-29

  • Christmas break (no school): Dec. 23 to Jan. 3
  • Non-student contact day (no school): Jan. 6
  • MLK Day (no school): Jan. 20
  • Non-student contact day (no school): Feb. 14
  • Presidents' Day (no school): Feb. 17
  • Spring Break (no school): March 30 - April 3
  • Non-student contact day (no school): April 6
  • Memorial Day (no school): May 25
  • Last day of school: May 29 (early dismissal - half day)
