New TSA Fingerprint ScreeningTo Be Tested At Denver International
Denver International Airport is one of two where the new technology will be tested.

Planning to travel through Denver International Airport starting later this week? Then there is a good chance that you will be participating in the testing of a new screening technology.
The Transportation Security Administration will be testing a new checkpoint screening at the TSA Pre-check lane at Denver International Airport.
It will also be tested at Harsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as well.

TSA says that they are testing the new technology to evaluate whether it can be used to verify passengers identities using their fingerprints.
If successful, it would allow people to use their fingerprints as a boarding pass and identity documents. (For more information on this and other local stories, subscribe to your local Patch for breaking news alerts.)

TSA says that once the fingerprint is found, the machine will find the passenger's boarding and flight information.
Participation in the program is voluntary.
"TSA looks at technologies and intelligence capabilities that allow us to analyze and secure the travel environment, passengers and their property," said TSA Acting Assistant Administrator Steve Karoly of the Office of Requirements and Capabilities Analysis.
"Through these and other technology demonstrations, we are looking to reinvent and enhance security effectiveness to meet the evolving threat and ensure that passengers get to their destinations safely."
