🌱Not A Dave's + Big Gear Show Coming To Denver + More Pop-Ups Downtown
The quickest way to get caught up on the important things happening today in Denver.

Hello, everybody. I'm here with your fresh copy of the Denver Daily, filled with all the things you need to know about what's happening in town. Today you'll read about:
- Big Gear trade show is coming to Denver with a little help from Colorado.
- Another round of pop-up stores will be selected for empty retail space on the 16th Street Mall.
- Historic Chinatown in Downtown Denver celebrates on Monday.
Saturday's weather: Times of clouds and sun. High: 61 Low: 36.
📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Denver who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.
I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Denver Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.
Here are the top stories today in Denver:
- Colorado's outdoor industry leaders are bringing a new trade show to Denver. When Outdoor Retailer left for Utah, the State of Colorado's office of outdoor recreation recruited another show, Big Gear Show, to fill the void. (Steamboat Pilot)
- Historic Chinatown to be honored with mural project. Monday is Denver's Chinatown Commemoration Day, and the Colorado Asian Pacific United group will announce a new mural that will celebrate the history of the Chinese community in Denver. (CBS)
- Denver planning another round of pop-ups on 16th Street Mall. This coming spring the Downtown Denver Partnership will choose another round of businesses that will get design, marketing and permitting support to test out their concepts out with the pop-up program. (Westword)
- Pete's Greek Town restaurant site still sitting idle. There had been a plan for the Colfax restaurant site to become a Dave's Hot Chicken location, but it looks like those plans have fallen through. For now, there's a construction fence around it, with an available sign atop the building that's a reminder of Pete Contos's long legacy, and what Denver lost when he died in 2019 at 85. (Denverite)
