- Woman scammed out of $1,000 to fake cannabis company. Any time it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. A Denver woman was promised employment that offered to pay her $30/hour. In the process, she ended up sending the scammer $1,000. (FOX31)
- Taste of Colorado plotting its return to Civic Center Park. The annual affair was canceled in 2020, then moved to the 16th Street Mall in 2021, but now the Denver Labor Day weekend tradition is returning to Civic Center Park on Sept. 3-5. (Westword)
- A squirrel electrocuted by an electric fence causes small wildfire near Horsetooth Reservoir. After extinguishing the small grass fire, the Poudre Fire Authority investigators determined that an electrocuted squirrel ignited the fire west of Fort Collins. (Patch)
- Sun Valley residents hoping to negotiate deal with Xcel Energy to turn coal plant into neighborhood asset. Xcel decommissioned the Zuni Generating Station in 2021 and has plans to demolish it, but neighborhood advocates are looking at ways to convert it into something that benefits the community. (Denverite)
- HOA wants residents to pay to park. In a 53 home development in Littleton, an HOA is considering charging homeowners to park their cars overnight on the street. As you can imagine, not everyone's happy about the proposed solution. (7News)
