Pedestrian Dead In Collision, 56th Avenue In Denver Closed: Police

Westbound 56th Avenue is closed at Tower Road as officials investigate.

DENVER, CO —A pedestrian died in a crash at 56th Avenue near Peña Boulevard, Denver police confirmed to Patch Wednesday.

The adult male pedestrian stepped off the median onto the avenue when a vehicle heading west struck him, police said.

The victim died immediately and the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene, according to police.
