  1. Denver City Council votes to send ballot item for Park Hill Golf Course to voters. The fate of the land with a perpetual conservation easement on it, heads to Denver voters once again. This time with a multi-million dollar development and zoning approval on it. (Denverite)
  2. Holy cow! Gas prices jump 83 cents in less than a month. According to Colorado AAA, the average price for a gallon of gasoline in Colorado has risen by 83 cents in the last month and 31 cents in the last week, reaching $3.65 as of Monday, Jan. 23. That's 36 cents higher than the same time last year. (9News)
  3. Here are the Denver City Council candidates that have raised the most money. Five Denver City Council races have no incumbents running in the upcoming April 4 election. This is due to three current members reaching their term limits and two others choosing not to run again. There are multiple candidates running for each open seat, and the candidates that have raised the most money in each race as of Dec. 31 (Subscription/BusinessDen)
  4. Metro Denver cities with home prices increasing the most. The continued real estate boom in Colorado has been attributed mostly to the pandemic. A recent study compiled a list of cities in the Denver metro area with the fastest-growing home prices, using data from Zillow as of December 2022. (FOX31)
  5. Why are the migrants selecting Denver as their destination of choice? Recent migrants to Denver, many of whom are fleeing a failing state in Venezuela, have been arriving in large numbers from countries in Central and South America. Denver has been particularly affected by this migration, with more than 4,300 immigrants arriving since last December. (Gazette)
