Planterra Foods Opens Manufacturing Plant In Denver

DENVER, CO — Planterra Foods is opening a manufacturing plant next week in Denver, the company announced.

The new 189,000-square-foot facility, at 1485 E 61st Ave, will employ around 200 people at full operations in corporate and manufacturing roles, Planterra said.

“This is a huge milestone for Planterra Foods, and a dream come true to be manufacturing our OZO™ products here in our hometown of Denver,” said Darcey Macken, CEO of Planterra Foods, in a statement.

“We knew Colorado was the perfect place to begin and grow this company, and with our incredible team of passionate, problem-solving food lovers, I’m confident that Planterra will continue to grow the world of plant-based with the best-tasting foods in the market. We can’t wait to share what’s in store with new products, innovations and growth for our community in the future.”

The company, which is owned by JBS, is a plant-based protein start-up based in Colorado.

Planterra is known for its OZO burgers, nuggets, sausage patties and OZO ground, none of which contains meat.
