Potbelly To Open New Denver Location, Donate To GLBT Center
100-percent of sales proceeds at an 'Oven Warming' event April 22 will go to Denver's GLBT Community Center of Colorado.

DENVER, CO -- Chicago-based Potbelly Sandwich Shop will open a new location at the Denver Health Campus this week. A special pre-opening "Oven-warming" event Sunday, April 22 will donate funds to Denver's GLBT Community Center of Colorado.
For a $5 cash donation, customers can purchase a sandwich, chips and a fountain drink. One-hundred percent of proceeds will benefit the GLBT Community Center, the company said in a press release. The Oven-Warming will take place between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The shop will be run by General Manager Joe Ritacco, who is "bringing over 20 years of restaurant experience" to the local Potbelly Sandwich Shop, the company said.

“We’re the neighborhood sandwich shop that truly has a little something for everyone,” Ritacco said in a statement. “Our team is looking forward to feeding smiles on the Denver Health campus.”

Ritacco is looking to expand his team as the shop nears opening. "Those interested in a fun atmosphere that fosters teamwork can visit the shop location or apply online," a statement from the company said. The shop is located at 601 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203.

Since opening its first shop in Chicago in 1977, Potbelly has expanded to more than 450 company-owned shops in the United States. Additionally, Potbelly franchisees operate more than 50 shops in Canada, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and India.
