Inmate Death And Fighting In Limon Prison
Two unrelated incidents this week in the Limon Correctional Facility left one prisoner dead and another severely injured.

LIMON, CO -- State prison officials are investigating the death of an inmate and an unrelated fight with weapons which left an inmate seriously injured at Limon Correctional Facility this week, the Colorado Department of Corrections said.
On Feb. 15, the facility had "an unexpected offender death," according to a statement from DOC Spokesperson Mark Fairbairn. Fairbairn said the Lincoln County Coroner had not yet identified the inmate and would be releasing the identity after family members had been notified.
The second incident occurred Feb. 13, Fairbairn said. An altercation involving unspecified weapons took place in the prison. Two men, identified as Rene Guerra, 30, and Robert Rodriguez, 31, are suspected of seriously injuring another inmate. The injured man was flown to a hospital via Flight for Life, a statement said.
