- Denver City Council committee approves ballot language that will eventually be sent to voters. The city's Land Use, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (LUTI) voted to forward ballot language to the full council, that will eventually let voters decide whether or not to release the perpetual conservation easement on the the Park Hill Golf Course land, and hand over the development rights to a developer. (Gazette)
- Arctic weather sends Denver scrambling to provide shelter space for migrants. Many of the migrants that have arrived from Venezuela and Nicaragua and the cold weather xdd (CBS4)
- Colorado to activate National Guard as extreme cold weather approaches. Gov. Jared Polis has approved the activation of the Colorado National Guard to assist with the emergencies that may arise from the extreme cold weather that's expected to arrive beginning this afternoon. (CBS4)
- Keeping your home warm in sub-zero temperatures. The most common mistake people make when temperatures drop below zero, is to leave the hose attached to the spigot, which can freeze the pipe and cause damage to the inside of your house. (FOX31)
- Ice skating rink opens on Evergreen Lake. The Evergreen Park and Recreation District has officially opened the ice skating rink on lake in Evergreen. Typically, the ice has to be at least 12 inches thick to open — and 16 inches to be groomed by a Zamboni. (9News)
