Here are the top stories today in Denver:

  1. Colorado's fastest growing cities. This study looks at growth across the state between 2017 and 2021. Most of the cities included on this list won't be a surprise as to which ones have grown the fastest. (Redfin)
  2. Hotels are in short supply. Lots of people want to visit the Colorado mountains, but staying in a hotel isn't always the best option. That's caused a rift in many of the region's mountain communities, as they struggle to provide enough housing for locals. (Summit Daily)
  3. UCHealth research program develops robot for kidney transplants. The UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital is now providing robotic kidney transplants to patients that would ordinarily not be ineligible for a transplant. (9News)
  4. Warmer temperatures returning this week. After a cool weekend, warmer temperatures are returning, and metro Denver could see its 65th day over 90 degrees day this year. (FOX31)
  5. Painting asphalt blue significantly reduces the surface temperature. My friends have heard me joke for years that if Denver's mayor wanted to, they could paint the streets blue. Turns out it's actually something that is good for the environment, too. (Fast Company)
