3-on-3 Hockey Tourney To Benefit Douglas Co. Officer's Family
First Responders and DIA employees face off to benefit family of Depty. Zackari Parrish.

From Douglas County PD: Denver first responders and employees of Denver International Airport (DEN) will swap their uniforms for hockey sweaters and skates to face off in a fundraising ice hockey tournament to benefit the family of fallen Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy Zackari “Zack” Parrish.
The matchups for this frozen fundraiser tournament will feature “Denver Police vs. Denver Fire” and “Denver Paramedics vs. DEN Employees,” with the winning teams advancing to a final game determining the champions. Donations will be encouraged at the event to benefit Parrish’s family through the Fallen Officer Fund of Douglas County Foundation.
The tournament will take place at the DEN Plaza ice skating rink – located between the Jeppesen Terminal and the Westin hotel -- and will feature appearances by special guests, including: Denver Broncos Cheerleaders and Miles, the Broncos mascot; Dinger, the Colorado Rockies mascot; Bernie, the Colorado Avalanche mascot; and Master of Ceremonies DJ RIPM. Additional first responders will be on-hand to collect donations from attendees and travelers. The Colorado Avalanche have generously donated a team-signed jersey that will be available in a silent auction. Additionally, several airport restaurants have donated food and beverages that will be available in exchange for a donation on site. XpresSpa is donating massage therapists who will also work for donations at the event. The airport skating rink will be closed to public skating on Monday.
