Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Denver County
The National Weather Service has issued an alert for Denver County.
DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm alert for the County of Denver. Quarter-size hail and intense wind gusts have hit some parts of the county. The alert has been issued until 5:30 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm hit Barr Lake, 16 miles northeast of Denver, officials said. The storm was moving east at 30 miles per hour.
"For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building," the NWS warned in the alert.

Locations most-heavily impacted include northeastern Commerce City, Brighton, Denver International Airport and Barr Lake, officials said.
