Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Denver County
The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert.
DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm alert for the County of Denver. Quarter-size hail and intense wind gusts could hit some parts of the county. The alert has been issued until 6 p.m.
A severe thunderstorm hit near Watkins, and is moving east, officials said. The storm was moving at 20 miles per hour.
"Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees," NWS warned in the alert.

Locations most-heavily impacted include Northeastern Denver, Aurora, northeastern Centennial, northeastern Commerce City, Brighton, Denver International Airport, Bennett, Manila Village, Arapahoe Park, Strasburg, Buckley AFB, Watkins, Barr Lake, Byers and Todd Creek., officials said.
