Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Denver Area

The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert, again.

DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm alert for parts of Denver's metro area. Quarter-size hail and intense wind gusts could hit some regions. The alert has been issued until 8 p.m.

Locations most-heavily impacted include Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, El Paso and Lincoln counties, officials said.

A severe thunderstorm hit Denver International Airport Thursday. Temperatures are expected to plummet in Denver's metro area, just in time for the official start of summer.
