Flash Flood Warning Issued For Denver Metro
The National Weather Service has issued a storm alert and flash flood warning.
DENVER, CO — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch and flash flood warning for Denver's metro area.
Quarter-size hail, intense wind gusts and flash flooding could hit some parts of the city's metro area, weather officials said.
"Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low-lying spots," NWS officials said in the alert.

Some locations that will experience flooding include: Aurora, Lakewood, southeastern Arvada, southern Westminster, Centennial, northeastern Highlands Ranch, southwestern Commerce City, Littleton, Englewood, Wheat Ridge, GreenwoodVillage, Lone Tree, southwestern Denver International Airport, Sheridan, Arapahoe Park and Buckley AFB.
