Suspect Shoots 60 Denver Recreation Center Windows: Police

The windows of five Denver recreation centers have been shot out with a pellet or BB gun, police said.

DENVER — While Denver recreation centers remain closed amid the new coronavirus outbreak, a suspect or group of suspects has shattered more than 60 windows at the centers over the past two weeks, police said. The windows were shot with either a pellet or BB gun.

"This is a large expense for the city and its taxpayers," the Denver Police Department said in a community alert.

  • Scheitler Recreation Center – 5031 West 46th Avenue Central Park
  • Recreation Center – 9651 East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
  • Eisenhower Recreation Center – 4300 East Dartmouth Avenue
  • Cook Park Recreation Center – 7100 Cherry Creek South Drive
  • Southwest Recreation Center – 9200 West Saratoga Place
