While a Winter Storm Warning for Denver's metro area and Boulder has ended, frigid temperatures and snowy roadways remain. The clouds are expected to part in time for Thanksgiving, but more snowfall could hit Friday, weather officials said.

There's a chance of snow showers Friday and they could continue into Saturday morning.

The City of Denver officially received 9.5 inches of snow Monday night and Tuesday. That's the most snow from a storm in November since 1994. Boulder received 20.7 inches of snow, making it the third-snowiest day ever recorded in the city. The 15.5 inches of snow that were recorded in Fort Collins was the second most snow on record in the city in November.

Many shoppers were loading up on Thanksgiving groceries while the early stages of the storm hit Monday. Many store shelves were emptied in the process; however many of the largest grocery store chains said most goods would be re-stocked in time for last-minute shopping Wednesday.
