Toy Donation Will Bring Smiles to Denver Children

Cricket Wireless Donates Truckload of Toys to Salvation Army of Denver

The Salvation Army is counting down the final days of its holiday toy drive for families in need across Denver, and one business reached out to its customers to help in a big way.

Local Cricket Wireless volunteers donated a truckload of toys to the Salvation Army yesterday to help ensure the holidays remain a season of smiles for Denver children.

The toys were purchased thanks to funds raised from Cricket’s “Likes for Tikes” holiday campaign in partnership with The Salvation Army. Cricket donated $1 toward the purchase of toys for every ‘like’ received on a Cricket Wireless retail store Facebook page.

All proceeds raised in Denver were used to purchase toys that will go to children all over the Denver Metro area.

"We applaud The Salvation Army for all of the extraordinary work they do in the communities they serve, and we are honored to support their efforts this holiday season," said Tracie Manske, senior marketing manager for Cricket Wireless-Rocky Mountain Region. "We’ve opened a number of Cricket Wireless locations in Colorado this year. This campaign is our small way of giving back to the local community that welcomed us with open arms."
