VIDEO: Driver Plows Into Crowd In Downtown Denver

A driver hit and injured two people while driving through a crowd near Coors Field.

DENVER, CO โ€” Two people were struck and injured by a car that drove through a crowd of people in Denver early Sunday morning. The driver was parked in the middle of a large brawl in the city's LoDo neighborhood.

Denver police were called to the area just before 2 a.m. and shot pepper balls toward the group in an attempt to break up the fight.

A cell phone video shows several people attacking the driver. The driver then got into a vehicle and drove into a crowd of people, striking two pedestrians. The car then took off.

The victims were hospitalized with minor injuries.

In a press conference Monday, Denver Police Division Chief Ron Thomas said the driver has been identified, but his name isn't being released to the public pending an active investigation. No arrests had been made at the time of the press briefing.
