Video: German Shepherd Plays With Bull Elk Buddy

Could this bull elk and German shepherd be old friends? A Colorado wildlife officer says the pair has been "playing together for years."

LARIMER COUNTY, CO — An unlikely pair of buddies — a bull elk and a German shepherd — are shown in a video playing together in Larimer County, Colorado. While the two are divided by a fence, it doesn't seem to hold them back from frolicking together.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife called the video "amazing."

The German shepherd is owned by a wildlife officer, who says the dog and the elk have been "playing together for years."
