- Vision Zero program part of making Denver's streets safer. Twenty-one intersections along 13th and 14th Streets are slated for new paint and posts, are designed to shorten pedestrian crossings and slow drivers down. Nearby by residents are upset with both the plan, and its proposed timing. (KDVR)

- Fossils found during a road construction project. When CDOT was widening Interstate 25 at Castle Rock in 2009, workers noticed big, black leaves falling out of the rock alongside the highway.
