Wind Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community in Highlands Ranch, was named Best Retirement Community in the 2026 Best of the Best contest presented by Colorado Community Media.

Colorado Community Media, publisher of the Highlands Ranch Herald, hosts its annual Best of the Best contest to recognize outstanding local businesses and organizations. Winners are determined entirely by reader participation, with community members nominating and voting for their favorites. Businesses receiving the highest number of votes in their respective categories during the six-week voting period earn the coveted "Best of the Best" designation.

"We are honored to be named the Best Retirement Community in Highlands Ranch," said Executive Director Craig Erickson. "This recognition is a reflection of our residents, whose enthusiasm, involvement, and sense of community make Wind Crest such a special place to live. We are proud to offer a lifestyle that helps seniors stay active, connected, and engaged."
