Denver could see 3 inches of snow and weather officials warned travelers heading east to do it now or simply wait until later in the week.

DENVER, CO — Winter storms will bring severe weather to much of the Midwest this week, creating potentially treacherous driving conditions for millions of holiday travelers and possibly affecting airlines. In Colorado, the National Weather Service in Boulder warned travelers heading east and southeast to just wait until later in the week.
"Traveling east into far eastern/southeast Colorado, western Kansas, or southwest to north central Nebraska? Get it done during the daylight today, or wait til late Thursday - better yet Friday," the weather agency wrote in a tweet Wednesday morning
The storm will mostly impact travel across portions of the eastern part of the state Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Bands of heavy snow, strong winds and blowing snow are likely from Julesburg to Akron and Limon. A couple inches of snow is also expected around Denver.
