Woman Critically Injured In Shooting On West Colfax

Three people are in custody after a woman was shot several times, Denver police said.

DENVER, CO — Three people were arrested in connection with a shooting on Saturday in Denver that left a woman in critical condition. At least two people face attempted first-degree murder charges, police said.

The woman was inside a vehicle around 10:45 p.m. near West Colfax Avenue and I-25, when she was shot several times, Denver police said. She was hospitalized in critical condition.

A vehicle was seen driving away after the shooting, and officers saw the same vehicle just after midnight, police said. After a chase, police were able to stop the vehicle near West Byers Place and South Tejon Street.

Three people ran from the vehicle but were caught and arrested soon after, police said.

A man and a teenager were taken into custody and face first-degree murder charges. A third person was also arrested, however their charges have not yet been released.
