Caught On Video: Hotel Vending Machine Burglary In Golden

The JeffCo Sheriff's office asks for help identifying two who broke into a vending machine and drove off in a distinctive looking pickup.

GOLDEN, CO -- A couple of alleged burglars took a crack at a vending machine in a Golden hotel, but they wren't looking for a midnight snack. A woman and a men -- who drove off in a distinctive looking truck -- broke into a vending machine around 12:15 a.m. Jan. 20, that Jefferson County Sheriff's office said. The sheriff's office released surveillance video hoping someone would recognize the alleged thieves.

The surveillance footage was taken near a vending machine at a hotel in the 15000 block of West Colfax Avenue. Two vehicles were seen entering the parking lot. One was an unknown make or model gray sedan and the second was a gray, older model GMC truck with a red roof, outfitted with tool boxes on both sides, a ladder rack on the top right side of the toolboxes and a blue tarp across the truck bed, the sheriff's statement said.
The woman in the video is described as being approximately 5’6” to 5’8” tall, 130 lbs. with red hair and was last seen wearing a black headband, white shirt, dark colored jacket, black pants and brown shoes. In the film, she is seen carrying a large brown purse, red tool bag and a pillow as she enters the first floor.
She and a Hispanic male described as an accomplice are later seen leaving the hotel.
