After a motorcycle struck and killed a pregnant doe, troopers were able to save her baby.

GOLDEN, CO — A motorcyclist struck and killed a pregnant doe on I-70 near Golden, but one of her two fawns survived. The mother gave birth after she was hit, and Colorado State Patrol troopers were able to deliver the fawn at the scene of the crash.
“Motorcycle [versus] deer crash usually doesn’t end like this,” CSP tweeted. “Rider is ok, mama and twin did not make it, but this little guy was born after the crash!"
The motorcyclist was not hurt in the crash, but the fawn's twin didn't survive, CSP said.

Good news with this newborn fawn, it’s headed to our health lab. It is hungry and will get that first meal & hydration in it right away upon arrival. It’s mother and twin fawn were killed in a collision this morning with a motorcycle, which initiated the birth. @CSP_Golden pic.twitter.com/p04FoanPIq
