GOLDEN, CO – As the news every day brings stories of U.S. mass shootings in public places, you may have wondered what you would do in an "active shooter" scenario. The Golden Police Department's monthly Safety Academy is addressing just this type of incident with a free community meeting Monday June 9.
As part of the department's regular Golden Safety Academy, this month's presentation will focus on "active shooter situations and provide tips on what to do if you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation," the police department said in a press release.
