Golden Public Works Projects In Progress
Here's what's happening in Golden this month

Ulysses Skate Park
Crews are at the Ulysses Skate Park as of Monday, Nov. 19, making concrete repairs and improvements to the southwest planter area. The Skate Park will remain open during the work, and improvements are expected to be completed by next Friday, Nov. 30, but weather conditions could change that.

Old Mortuary Building Renovation
Renovation has begun on the old mortuary building at 11th and Washington. The sidewalk will be closed during the demo and parking spots will be lost.
The sidewalk will re-open for downtown events however, so there will be pedestrian access during Thanksgiving on November 22, 23, 24; the Candlelight Walk on November 30; and during the Christmas Parades on December 1, 8, 15.

Buffalo Rose Construction
As construction continues on the Buffalo Rose, a pedestrian walkway is now in place and a few parking spaces on Washington Ave. will be impacted for approximately another two weeks.
Ulysses Street Closure
Ulysses St. is now closed from South Golden Rd. to West 12th Ave. This closure will be in place for approximately four weeks.
During the closure, crews will be installing new sidewalks, curbs and gutters, storm sewer and asphalt. For the duration of the closure, there will be a detour in place via West 12th Ave.
Access to Ulysses Skate Park will be closed during this time, but the park will still be accessible from West 10th Ave.
Washington Complete Street Project
Monday, October 22, marked the beginning of the second phase of the North Washington Avenue Complete Street Project. This consists of a closure between Iowa Drive and 2nd Street.
Iowa remains open for east and west bound traffic but 2nd Street is not. There is a detour in place for thru traffic via Hwy 58. Resident access is maintained for those who live within the closure. As a reminder, Phase 1 and 2 run concurrently with full closures to thru traffic.
The road is anticipated to reopen mid-December depending on weather. Washington is open to local traffic only. Other traffic is detoured to Hwy 58 and Hwy 93.
